Keeping drinks and beverages chilled and cool to the right temperature while advertising to customers can be an overwhelming task. But with high quality, high-functioning commercial display refrigerator, this problem is solved in a breeze. But first, you will have to understand a few things about these glass-door commercial display fridges and how they work in order to arrive at the ideal choice.

Bottle fridges

Commercial bottle fridges are an essential component of any bar, restaurant, pub, or up-scale cocktail joints. These electronic coolers are designed to do one main purpose – to keep bottled drinks and beverages at an ideal temperature while attractively displaying to customers through their glass doors. A great bottle fridge should be able to store drinks at peak serving temperature while at the same time, creating an enticing display. Any hospitality business should have at least one of these. They typically come with a glass door, though you can also find solid door models when you don’t want the display function.

Bottle fridges are designed to endure all kinds of tough and harsh conditions usually encountered in business settings. As a result, they are a bit heavy-duty compared to their domestic counterparts and can maintain the temperature of your drinks even when opened and closed numerous times during working hours. But because of their heavy-duty design, bottle fridges tend to produce lots of noise, though it is nothing you should be concerned about and it is likely that your customers will not notice it.

Ideally, commercial bottle coolers are designed using industry-grade materials in order to give them the strength and longevity required to endure the bumps, knocks, and scrapes you will find in any hospitality setting.

They are also designed to be placed in front of the stall or building in order to display attractively the wide range of drinks to passersby. But if storage is a major concern, then you should consider using chest coolers. These ones tend to have enough capacity to accommodate large numbers of bottles and will ensure there is always a chilled bottled drink or beverage on hand to serve your customers.

Display fridge

A display fridge can hold not only drinks but also baked goods, foods, and other perishable items. However, they are also designed with a display glass door to enhance the visibility of the product.

Display fridges are typically ideal for self-service and allow customers a chance to peruse the options they have. The term display fridge is quite broad and can be used to mean a wide range of models including freezers and cabinet fridges.

If you want to keep certain products chilled while merchandising to potential customers, you need to get commercial equipment that is designed to withstand tough settings. Display refrigeration is more durable compared to bottle fridges and is even more efficient. They also have precision temperature that delivers uniform, consistent display and storage conditions even if the equipment is continuously opened.

As we have mentioned above, a display fridge is a term that can be used to mean a commercial freezer or commercial fridge with a transparent door. Either way, it is available in under-counter or upright style, but the common feature is usually a full-length transparent door. But, unlike domestic or traditional refrigerators, display fridges often have a single door.

Capacity is directly related to the size of the equipment so the larger the fridge, the more capacity it has. Another feature that is directly related to size is the number of shelves.  Thus the larger the fridge, the more shelves it will have. Shelves on these pieces of equipment are usually adjustable so that you can have a more customized inventory. Most display fridges have strong shelves that can withstand the weight of the different types of products without yielding. Mostly, you will have between 3 and 12 shelves in display refrigeration.

In terms of placement, display fridges are most often positioned in front of the building with the main aim being to present a variety of products to prospective customers while being maintain the optimum temperature.  Some display fridges can also be placed inside a commercial kitchen, but these types are usually designed to function and perform in extreme conditions.

Electric griddle

Electric griddles are not the same as grills. The main difference is that the former has a flat surface with no ridges of a grill. As a result, they usually cook food evenly and can be used to prepare a wide range of breakfast foods, grilled cheese, and burgers. Whether it is a domestic kitchen or a commercial kitchen, an electric griddle can be your go-to equipment for preparing all sorts of meals fast.

There are different types of  griddleselectric griddles, gas griddles, Panini griddles, and stovetop griddles.

Stovetop griddles are the oldest and made from cast iron or aluminum, and as the name suggests, you just have to place them on top of your stove.

Gas griddles use gas and are usually considered the powerhouse of griddles. You will see these ones at diners mostly.

Panini griddles are designed to make Panini but can also make waffles, sandwiches, crepes, or pancakes, bacon, and eggs.

Electric griddles are regarded as the best griddles because of their portability and capabilities to heat up very quickly. These models can be large, meaning you can prepare a range of meals. Note that there is also an array of electric griddles and thus it is important to know what you want before shopping for one.
